Dr. Jean-Claude Badoux

Dr Jean-Claude Badoux studied in Switzerland, Germany and USA receiving his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering in 1965. He has been the technical advisor and expert for over one hundred Swiss and international construction projects.

Dr Badoux was the founding director and head of the Institute of Steel Structures, President of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne and the President of the Swiss Network for Innovation.

Dr Badoux has been the Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA), President of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences , Vice President of the Executive Board of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations and President of the board of the Bois Chamblard Foundation.

Among many other honours and awards he has received the Tedesko Gold Medal form the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering.
